Hallmark isn’t the only place to get your holiday movie fix this year. Both Lifetime and Netflix are celebrating the season with their very own original Christmas movies featuring romance, over-the-top plot lines, and a whole lot of Christmas cheer.
Netflix has premiered its very first holiday romance, A Christmas Prince. And following news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal engagement, it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Hallmark Christmas movie fanatics are loving it:

.@netflix should give me a free subscription for the number of people I've told to watch #AChristmasPrince. If cheesy Christmas movies are your jam, WATCH IT RIGHT NOW.

#AChristmasPrince is an AMAZING addition by Netflix to the made-for-TV Christmas movie collection, giving Hallmark a serious run for their money

The movie follows a young journalist (Rose McIver) who goes undercover and travels abroad to write a story covering the life of a handsome and single prince (Ben Lamb) with a playboy reputation. Of course, the two have instant chemistry, but they face some obstacles along the way.
If by the end of the week you have watched A Christmas Prince more that is sociably acceptable (not a thing, but okay), don’t worry, there are plenty of Christmas classics available to stream on Netflix here in the UAE, including classics like Elf, Four Christmases and The Polar Express, as well as a special from Mrs Christmas herself, Mariah, called Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas… we haven’t watched that yet but plan on getting on that this evening.Â
