We’ve all heard the age-old theory: apparently, over time, dogs start to look just like their owners.

We know, we know — it sounds ridiculous. However, this theory has legs. Michael Roy, a psychologist at the University of California, put it to the test; he went to three local dog parks, photographed the doggos and owners separately, and then asked a group of participants to match them up. As the BBC reports, despite giving the participants no additional clues, they were able to match the dogs to owners with reasonable accuracy.
