It all links in with Kidcore,” an aesthetic that began to be officially coined in 2022, which is all about “dressing like a kid—including all the fun colors and nostalgic prints that come with it.” But it is deeper too; it is about re-imagining the world through childlike eyes, and re-experiencing safety and peace. The Ghiblify trend allows us to do just that.
