Remember the name, Leah Depala, ‘coz we predict she’s going to be making waves in the music industry very soon. The brilliant 13-year old wrote and recorded her single, Cold, in the span of two days. Colour us impressed!
She was mentored by the amazing Layla Kardan, an Iranian singer, and the single was produced by Ayham Homsi.
She may be young but her pipes could have us fooled. She’s giving us some serious Lorde vibes with this edgy track about a hypothetical failed relationship.
“I wanted to write a song that people can relate to,” Leah explains.
Adding: “You don’t need to have experienced something to be able to feel it. It’s like crying when you watch a movie. It’s not necessarily happening to you but you can feel their pain.”
We feel you Leah. We feel you.
Leah has big plans for herself. Among them include finishing her debut album, which, she says will be packed with more relatable songs.
