Every year, around 3,000 women in the UAE hear the life-changing words of a cancer diagnosis. About a third of those are breast cancer cases. While the numbers can feel overwhelming, there’s hope. Breast cancer is one of the few cancers doctors are often able to detect early, and when caught in time, it can be treated successfully.
What makes that possible is awareness. That’s where Dubai’s upcoming events come in. That’s because not all of us can spend our days in labs searching for cures. Here’s how you can still play your part, starting right here. When you show up, whether you’re dining for a cause or buying a ticket, you’re not just attending, you’re fueling research and pushing progress forward.
Afternoons for awareness

Connect with yourself and a cause with Banyan Tree
Nothing better that an early morning yoga sesh surrounded by lush greenery to get you refreshed towards the end of the month. Head to Banyan Tree for a Sunrise yoga session led by Natalie Kreidieh followed by breakfast and a talk on breast cancer awareness. A portion of the proceed are directed towards cancer support and research.

Locks of love
This Pinktober, Dyson is turning its Beauty Labs across Dubai a soothing shade of pink. At locations including Mall of the Emirates, Dubai Mall, Mirdif City Centre, and Dubai Hills Mall, guests can book complimentary hair treatments and styling sessions using Dyson’s Ceramic Pink tools. Cancer warriors are encouraged to bring their wigs for gentle, professional styling.

Reserve for research at Carine
