Gaming is a way of life for many and if a career in the gaming sector is what you want then Dubai is the place to be.

The UAE city is planning to be a global gaming hub in 2024 with the UAE government developing the sector to attract huge companies and is hoping to create 30,000 gaming jobs (making it the perfect place for gaming girls to get a job doing what they love).

It’s understood that continued investment in gaming will help it grow in the UAE with gaming centres, eSports arenas and training centres making it attractive for gamers.

Last year, the ‘Dubai Programme for Gaming 2033’, launched to position the city among the top ten global gaming cities and aims for gaming to contribute $1 billion to the country’s GDP (gross domestic product) by 2033.

“The main goal of the UAE in the coming years should be to create a gaming culture. It is necessary to work with the generation that will be able to build a professional career in eSports starting from 2030,” Anton Vasilienko, co-founder and CEO at True Gamers told Arabian Business.

It’s not just Dubai that loves gaming, Saudi Arabia is set to take the gaming world to new heights after unveiling that it is hosting the first-ever Esports World Cup in the summer of 2024.

Spearheaded by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, this monumental event promises to revolutionize the esports landscape.

For anyone with a passion for gaming, the event is a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic, rapidly growing community.
