There’s just something about pasta, particularly as the weather gets chilly, that is just so comforting. Whether you’re wrapped in a blanket in front of Netflix or seated in a nicely lit restaurant enjoying a meal with a friend (or alone, whatevs, we don’t judge here).
Well, Coppasta can do both, and you’ll still come away with change at the end of it.
A menu that marries the simplicity yet diverse range of Italian cuisine, with the freshness and high- quality ingredients and comforting worldly appeal of innovative flavours, recognises that each diner is unique and… er, caters to it. Diners are encouraged to create their own combination of pasta, sauce and ingredients for dine in or to grab and go in a (not small) cup. Um, YUM!
Their á la carte menu is equally delicious with enough bread and cheesy goodness to go around. We tried the Focaccia Al Formaggio (cheesy Italian flatbread with cheese fondue dip) and the insalata di Burrata (Burrata, pesto, balsamic, cherry tomatoes, and ruccola). The portions are sufficient in that we could try half of each starter and not feel heavy and bloated before our main course.
Try the lasagne, a classic dish that holds up in their kitchen, or if you want try something a bit new, why not order the Aglio Olio Peperoncino – a pasta dish of roasted garlic, olive oil, Spanish chilies and halloumi cheese s erved up on basil and ricotta tortellini.
Possibly the best part about the meal is having room for dessert without feeling like we’d completely overindulged. The pumpkin cheesecake is an absolute must-try. Imagine a pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin pie and cheesecake all coming together in a perfect combination of taste perfection – not too sweet, not too spicy, no weird texture. Bliss.
