Hello, where did 2019 go? It’s already NOVEMBER, people! I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by. The winter months are finally here and that means cosy socks, warm sweaters and hot drinks are back. From sweet to spicy, these recipes are for everyone. They’re so delish and addictive, you’ll probably be hooked. Be warned!
1. Orange Hot Chocolate

There’s nothing better than a cup of hot cocoa during the winter. But, you can amp it up with flavour by infusing it with some yummy orange chocolate. And that teeny bit of citrus takes this hot chocolate to a whole other level.
Ingredients:
• 1 cup milk (Preferably full fat)
• 1 tbsp. of powdered sugar
• Your fave orange chocolate (we love Terry’s Chocolate Orange or Lindt Dark Chocolate with Orange)
• 1 strip of orange peel
• For toppings: whipped cream or orange zest
Instructions:
• Heat the milk, powdered sugar, and orange peel over a small sauce pan over medium heat. Combine .
• In a bowl, break your chocolate into small pieces.
• Stir the milk until it’s hot, NOT boiling.
• Pour the hot milk over the chocolate and stir until chocolate is melted.
• Serve in a cute mug with some whipped cream and orange zest on top.Â
Pro tip: if you’re not into citrus, then make it a peppermint hot chocolate by adding in peppermint flavouring OR using a peppermint candy cane as a stirrer. *sigh* I love the holidays.
2. Spiced Tea

If you’re in the mood to chill out and relax, this is just what you need. It makes you feel calm especially after a really long day.
This is a recipe I created one night in my kitchen so you can eye ball quantities according to your liking.
Ingredients:
• Lemon mint tea bags
• Cloves
• Cinnamon stick
• Water
• Honey
You can add or remove whatever ingredients you’re not a fan of.
Instructions:
• To sauce pan, add your water and let it simmer, not boil. Add your tea bags to the water and let it steep.
• After a few minutes, add a few cloves, a cinnamon stick and your honey.
• Let it brew and stir the tea from time to time till it’s well infused.
• With a strainer on top of your mug, pour your spiced tea and enjoy. It’s so delicious and soothing, you have to try it.
3. Hot Apple Cider

The smell of this drink just reminds me of the festive season no matter the time of year. It’s sweet and tangy all at the same time. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Ingredients:
• 5 cups of apple cider
• Maple syrup to taste
• Cloves
• 2 strips of orange peel
Instructions:
• Put all your ingredients into a saucepan and simmer on medium heat.Â
• Strain the spices out of the cider and pour into a cup.
This was by far the easiest recipe to explain LOL. You can add to the recipes by adding different spices but this is the basic version that tastes A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
4. Golden Milk

Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory antioxidant and has so many benefits for your health. Whenever I’m sick, my mother always make this for me and it makes me feel a lot better. FYI, you don’t have to drink this only when you’re sick, you can drink it every day and it’ll improve your skin and immune system.
Ingredients:
• 1 tsp. of turmeric
• 1 cup of milk (Any milk is fine but full fat / coconut / oat milk is great)
• Sugar to taste
• 1 tsp. of saffron (Optional)
Instructions:
• Get a small sauce pan on medium heat and pour in your preferred milk. Let it simmer, don’t let it boil.
• Add the turmeric, sugar and saffron to the milk and stir until well combined.
• Pour into a mug and it’s done.
Super easy and absolutely delish, you can spice it up with pepper corns or some cinnamon and modify accoding to taste.
5. Spiced Coffee

Coffee lovers unite! This recipe is to add MORE flavour to your cup of Jo. It’s really easy to make and it could be a pretty impressive drink to offer at a brunch. BTW, you can adjust this recipe to your liking.
Ingredients:

Instructions:
