Cafe’s are a place to go when you want to be productive, relax or catch up with a friend. It can also be a place where you get inspired to do more of what you love like painting. These cafes have really fun activities to do on your own or with your family and friends.

1. Café Ceramique

I have been going to this café since I was a little girl with my dad. Along with their yummy food, you get to select a piece of ceramique like a plate, vase or money jar and you get to paint it however you like. You can collect your artwork in 2-3 weeks and enjoy it at home or gift it to a loved one. It’s super fun and gets your creative juices flowing. Price vary depending on what you choose to paint.

2. Unwind Café

This café is for the competitor in you. Unwind café have tons of board games to choose from that you and your friends can play while munching on some good food. It can get pretty busy at the café but it sure is worth going. It’s a great way to switch off from the digital space and playing the old board games you used to play growing up is nostalgic and lets you make new memories too.

Calling all cat lovers…this is your kind of café! The café is super cute and serves nice food but the factor that makes you want to keep coming back are their adorable cats. The café has rescued 25 cats so far, isn’t that amazing? You can play with the cats while you sip on your coffee and chat with your friends. It’s therapeutic and the cats are just really adorable.

4. MAKE Art Café

The café is a sub-brand of the previously known MAKE Business Hub and is now a creative, quiet space for everyone to enjoy. You can grab a book and read while you have some of their delicious food and yummy drinks OR, you could join in for some of the workshops and events hosted at the café. It’s a fun space to explore as it is in the heart of the Alserkal Cultural Foundation. So, if you’re looking for a quiet space to chill, this is the place for you.

5. The Workshop

I believe that this is a hidden gem in the city. The Workshop is a really cool space for artists to enjoy. There’s a pretty café downstairs with wholesome, healthy food and DELICIOUS coffee. They exhibit art as well which is really cool. Upstairs though, the company hosts events and workshops for you to join in. You can check out their website for details and fees per workshop and get to it! It’s a wonderful space and has a great vibe.

These cafes are definitely on my list of things to do when I’m bored. Can’t wait for the weekend…
