OK, so there’s not exactly a shortage of Greek restaurants in Dubai, but I’m not exactly complaining about it, either. The latest in the line of Greek goodness is Ena, located on The Pointe, Palm Jumeirah.

I recently headed down to the venue, which opened late last year, to make an informed decision on the best Greek food in the city (selfless, I know). First of all, the modern restaurant is straightforward to find (an immediate tick) and boasts seriously impressive and unspoiled views of Atlantis hotel. So far, so great.

I opted to sit outside on the terrace (before it gets too hot, boo you summer), and ordered Tyrokafteri – spicy feta dip – with homemade bread and Greek salad, served with fresh Oregano and Greek olive oil dressing. Oh, wow. I would go as far to say as it is the best Greek salad I’ve eaten in Dubai (don’t @ me).

Mains from Ena – which translates to the number ‘one’- include moussaka, braised lamb shank in tomato sauce and Greek seabass fillet with vegetables, all nicely washed down with inventive mocktails and quick service.

Before the sweet and moreish desserts (I’m talking Baklava and orange cake), I was proudly informed that the Greek ingredients are directly sourced from the villages in Greece, and only the finest produce and farms are used. Impressive stuff.

To conclude: the food is epic, the vibe is calm and the views are totally Instagrammable. Good job, Ena.
