BookTok lovers this ones for you. ICYMI, Colleen Hoover‘s 2018 novel Verity is being adapted into a movie, starring none other than Oscar winning actress Anne Hathaway. You’ll have seen her in The Devil Wears Prada and she appeared in The Idea Of Us which came to our screens in May this year.

Who stars in Verity?
All we know so far is that Anne Hathaway has just been cast as thriller-author Verity Crawford and the director is Michael Showalter. Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively were cast in Colleen’s first movie adaptation which released earlier this year, It Ends With Us. BTW Verity is a totally different story to It Ends With Us, which is followed by novel It Starts With Us.
Despite it’s controversy, It Ends With Us was a huge success at the box office, grossing $349.5 million worldwide. WOW!
In response to this casting news, TikTok pop culture page Brit + Co were “SCREAMING CRYING FREAKING OUT” and say “everybody was saying Blake Lively would fit better for Verity” but they see this casting so much more. Other TikTok users say they pictured Rosamund Pike as Verity whilst reading it.
