But fair warning: get ready to reignite that burning excitement and maybe a little impatience while you wait for those epic returns.

Bridgerton

What we know: Season 4 is all about Benedict Bridgerton—yeah, the guy who mooed from the corner of the ballroom. This time, he’s stepping into the spotlight with his very own story, based on the book An Offer From A Gentleman.

Bridgerton is shaking things up for season four by casting the insanely talented Korean-Australian actress Yerin Ha to bring Sophie’s character to life. At 29, Yerin is stepping into the iconic role as the love interest of Benedict Bridgerton, and we’re already swooning at the thought.

Release Date: Brace yourselves for a bit of a wait—season 4 isn’t dropping until 2026. Showrunner Jess Brownell told The Hollywood Reporter, “We’re working hard to speed things up, but filming takes around eight months, and then there’s editing, dubbing, and writing. So, we’re kind of on a two-year cycle.” Fingers crossed they can speed things up a bit, but for now, mark your calendars and hang tight.

Squid Game

What we know: Netflix has teased us with a sneak peek into Season 2 of Squid Game. “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 remains determined to find the people behind the game and put an end to their vicious sport.” Armed with his newfound riches, Gi-hun starts his hunt by looking for the guy in the sharp suit playing ddakji in the subway. But spoiler alert: the road to taking down the game is way more dangerous than he thought. To truly end it, he’ll need to re-enter the game himself.

While that’s all we’ve got for now, we know more players are joining the game and the police might be stepping in, as teased in Season 1. Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has also hinted at “new games” and fresh twists, so expect the unexpected.

Release date: Season 2 will be released on December 26, 2024, and season 3 (the final season) is coming in 2025.

Stranger Things

What we know: The Stranger Things creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, shared that they wrote a 25-page doc about the Upside Down back in Season 1. “We were like, ‘We know what’s going on in the Upside Down, more or less, but we want it to be unknowable. We want it to be mysterious,’ ” Matt Duffer told Tudum. “But they were like, ‘Yeah, but can you write it down?’ And so we wrote it all down.”

While Season 4 gave us some clues, Season 5 will reveal even more. “The last remaining questions that are answered in that document, we’ve punted a couple of those to have some big reveals in Season 5,” said Ross Duffer in Geeked Week. “And that’s really going to affect what Season 5 is about.”

Oh, we have more..

Guys, we have the first scene of the season. Do we know what it means? No. Are we excited? Hell yes.

On Stranger Things Day 2022, we got a juicy teaser: the Season 5 premiere episode is called “The Crawl.” Who’s doing the crawling? Why on earth are they crawling? And where are they crawling to? Time to put on those detective hats and dive into some serious fan theories.

Release date: As of July 15, 2024, they were officially halfway through filming the fifth and final season. It’s predicted to release in 2025.

Outer Banks

What we know: In the Season 3 finale, 18 months had passed since the Pogues struck gold in El Dorado. They were still reeling from the loss of Ward and Big John but took a moment to savor their victory. The creators wanted to ensure it wasn’t a total downer and that viewers felt like the Pogues achieved something significant.

With the stakes higher than ever, the creators hoped fans would truly feel the strength of the Pogues’ friendship amid all the action. Burke told Tudum, “There’s all this action and adventure, but it’s really about the bond between the friends.” Josh Pate also said he wants the watchers to feel “the sense that there’s more coming.”

Release Date: Sometime in 2024.

Wednesday

What we know: Season 2 of Wednesday is on its way, and when it got renewed in January 2023, the show teased more “torture” ahead. Naturally, Wednesday wouldn’t want it any other way.

Jazzara Jaslyn (you might’ve caught her in Warrior) is joining as Miss Valentine. David Dastmalchian, fresh off Late Night with the Devil, will play Mr. 3, and Werner Coetser from Getroud met rugby is set as Dorry. Brendan Murray, also from Raised by Wolves, is back as Brogy, with Clive Russell (the OG from Game of Thrones) as Crocus. Callum Kerr (from Monarch) will bring Smoker to the screen, Julia Rehwald (from Star Wars Young Jedi Adventures) is Tashigi, Rob Colletti (from The Many Saints of Newark) is taking on Wapol, and Ty Keogh (24 Hours To Live) is Dalton.

This is not a drill. Miss Charithra Chandran is playing Miss Wednesday (the one and only, Edwina from Bridgerton). It’s true, we swear. We can’t contain our excitement.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

What we know: Daniel Dae Kim (aka Fire Lord Ozai) stold Tudum in February, saying, “I thought it was really clever of the writers to end Season 1 in that way, because you want to get a sense that the universe of the show is expanding with every season.” He added, “And they really did a good job of that with that cliff-hanger and also created a sense of urgency and time.”

Lee chimed in with some major excitement: “Always leave the audience wanting more. I just had chills seeing Lizzy as Azula. You’ve got King Bumi in shackles, and it’s just like, ‘Oh, there’s so many cliff-hangers.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I want to shoot Season 2, 3 right now.’ ”

They’re getting their wish because both seasons 2 and 3 renewal is confirmed. No more deets yet on the upcoming seasons, but stay tuned here for the latest scoop.

What we know: The Night Agent Season 2 is on its way. The show’s coming back with 10 more episodes, and Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan are back in action. Brittany Snow and Teddy Sears are also joining the cast this season.

We’re excited to see what’s in store for Peter and Rose. “That’s one of the big questions we’d love to answer in Season 2,” said creator Shawn Ryan. “What does Peter getting on this plane and going somewhere (presumably overseas to enter into some new wild adventure) mean, with Rose going back to California to try to pursue her Silicon Valley dreams again? We certainly have some initial ideas.”

Release Date: Matthew Quirk, author of the book, shared on IG, “I was getting an early look at Season 2. It’s on its way and it absolutely rips.” We can expect it to release late 2024, early 2025.

XO, Kitty

What we know: Jenny Han, co-showrunner of the show, is excited to see Kitty steer away from the typical “One True Pairing” and explore something different. As Han told Tudum, “I write so many romantic stories about young people. Everyone wants the ‘happily ever after’… but they are really young.” Kitty’s journey is all about exploring what love means at different stages of life.

They wrapped filming! Netflix announced that season 2 was officially in production on April 15, 2024.

XO, Kitty season 2 is bringing some fresh faces to the mix. Audrey Huynh, Sasha Bhasin, and Joshua Lee are officially joining the cast. Huynh is stepping in as a series regular, playing the role of Stella, while Bhasin and Lee are taking on recurring roles as Praveena and Jin.

The Witcher

What we know: Season 4 is officially in the works in the UK, and it’s being filmed back-to-back with the fifth and final season, wrapping up Andrzej Sapkowski’s saga.

Season 4 kicks off after the jaw-dropping events of Season 3, with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri scattered across a war-torn Continent. They’ll face off against demons, lead some unlikely groups of misfits, and hopefully reunite—if they survive the chaos.

Exciting news: Laurence Fishburne is joining the cast as the mysterious barber-surgeon Regis, while Sharlto Copley plays the infamous bounty hunter Leo Bonhart. James Purefoy and Danny Woodburn also jump in as Emhyr’s spy Skellen and fan-fave dwarf Zoltan.

After Season 3’s finale, Geralt realizes neutrality isn’t an option anymore. “His side is Ciri and Yen, and he will do anything [for them],” showrunner Schmidt Hissrich explained.

Geralt’s not flying solo, though. Jaskier and Milva will be by his side, forming the Hanza—his new ride-or-die squad. Hissrich added, “We start to watch the Hanza build and start to see that there are some amazing emotional connections to come.”

Season 4 will push Geralt’s boundaries, testing his emotions like never before. “We’ll start to see those boundaries tested again in Season 4,” Hissrich teased.
