It’s official: Middle East Fashion Week(MEFW) is bringing back all the glamour and fashion for a second time. Its first edition saw opulent labels and runway shows as well as the appearance of Professor Jimmy Choo OBE and his couture and bridal line, The Atelier Couture.
“I am honored and excited to exhibit my latest collection in Dubai after four years. I chose the Middle East Fashion Week – a fashion event of the highest international caliber,” said Ezra Santos, owner and Creative Director of Ezra Couture. “As the fashion capital of the Middle East, I believe that MEFW will finally put Dubai on the international fashion map having created a globally recognized fashion week. They bring so much to the table; their vision and professionalism are perfectly aligned with what a fashion week should be focused on.”

Everything you need to know about Middle East Fashion Week…
MEFW spotlights emerging talents across diverse categories (Couture or Street) with a four day-event of stunning runway shows. The new edition, governed by the Middle East Fashion Council, will focus on the business-to-business segment to help local and global talent connect with retailers and buyers. The MEFW Showrooms at the venue are also perfect for visitors to peruse between shows to explore the collections up close.
“The region is home to fantastic designers, yearning to share their creations with the world. With international and local buyers flocking to Middle East Fashion Week, it is without a doubt this is the perfect platform to make their debut,” said Simon J Lo Gatto, founder, and CEO of MEFW and MEFC.

“While the glitz and glamour of the runway makes a lasting impression, the real magic happens behind the scenes. By bringing the brightest minds in the industry under one roof, we are working hard to help our designers propel their careers. We at the MEFW strive to set the wheels of change in motion for the fashion ecosystem in the region,” adds Payal Kshatriya Cerri, co-founder of MEFW and MEFC. “Beyond silk and sequins, fashion is a key driver as a form of art passed down generations, one that creates employment and connects us all in so many ways.”

The opening ceremony will be held on November 7th featuring industry leaders, designers, and fashionistas to mark the beginning of the second edition. Middle East Fashion Week is welcoming designer applications until 10th October.
