Fashion’s biggest night is here. The Met Gala 2023 will be celebrating the late German designer Karl Lagerfeld with the dress code “In honor of Karl” whose influence on the industry continues to live on today. Some of fashion and Hollywood’s most elite walked up the stairs of the extravagant benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City as they endeavoured to pull off interpretations of the late German designer’s unparalleled legacy.
The Costume Institute will also host a spring exhibit — Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, which will be open to the public the day after the magical night and run at the venue until mid-July as per CNN. Hosted by Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel, Dua Lipa, and Roger Federer who take on the role of co-chairs, the glitzy event will be considered a night to remember by those who enjoy high fashion as much as they enjoy celebrity.
Tonight, like previous Met Gala nights, featured an array of gorgeous gilded gowns and bespoke suits, worn by Tinseltown’s crème de la crème and other personalities.
