Last night, Liu Yifei walked the red carpet the at Los Angeles premiere of Mulan, in which she plays the heroine protagonist.
The actress basically shut down the entire event when she stepped out looking like a real life Disney princess in a gown by Lebanese label Elie Saab Haute Couture’s autumn/winter 2019 collection, which she paired with jewels from Chopard.
The Phoenix dress is crafted in a gold brocade fabric and features a corset top and voluminous skirt. So voluminous, in fact, it took up the entirety of stylist Samantha McMillen’s bed…
Liu was joined on the red carpet by Christina Aguilera, who sang the vocals for the live-action adaptation of the cartoon classic, and director Niki Caro.
As a nod to the movie, Xtina opted for a Samurai-style bun in her hair, and wore lashings of red – the signature colour of the movie – on both her dress, her boots, her lips and even her hair.
Mulan will hit cinemas in the UAE on 26 March.
