Every now and then you come across a fashion brand that, quite frankly, takes your breath away. This is what happened when an email introducing me to MAË Paris landed in my inbox.

Founded by Maëva Bezzioune, who is, unsurprisingly, every bit as chic as the clothes she designs, the Paris-based fashion house creates clothes are that are an ode to powerful women.

The brand counts Tyra Banks, Maddison Bear, Bella Thorne and former Cosmo cover star Bebe Rexha amongst their A-list clientele – and it’s really not hard to see why.

With tactile textures from silk to sequins, a monochromatic colour palette, and strong silhouettes with an insouciant cool, there is not a single MAË Paris piece that I’m not utterly obsessed with.

Inspired by the sartorial power players of the ‘80s – think larger-than-life shoulder pads coupled with cinched waists – Maëva also designs with a modest sensibility. The brand boasts a loyal customer base of Arab women thanks to the abaya-like cuts and Middle Eastern-esque gowns.

And finally, let’s all just have a moment of silence for the flawlessness that is my dream bridal gown. The Medicis silk gown and a sparkling floor-length cape from the Caractère collection is what I can only describe as wedding dress perfection. As the designer puts it, “the elegance of pearls mixes with crème satin and framed by the spectacular glitter, makes for a remarkable tandem.” Truly, truly dreamy.

If you’re lucky enough to be hopping on a plane to Europe soon, the boutique is based on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. But don’t fear, because the entire collection is also available online. Yaaasss.
