Just yesterday, infamous fashion house Giorgio Armani, was meant to host another one of its marvelous Autum/Winter fashion shows for Milan Fashion Week 2020.

However, due to a nasty breakout of coronavirus, the brand had to empty the theatre and livestream the show.

According to The National, “more than 200 people in the country have tested positive for the virus since Friday, the vast majority of them in the wealthy northern regions of Lombardy and Veneto.” Leaving the Southern European country as the third highest number of confirmed cases of the virus after China and South Korea.

Although it may seem like the usual glamour of fashion week is still going on, many in Milan have opted out of visiting and watching shows.

Armani decided to stream the catwalk of models still dressed in the brand’s latest fashions, instead of putting any guests at risk. The high end retailer said in a statement: “the decision was taken to safeguard the well-being of all his invited guests by not having them attend crowded spaces.”

The show must go on though, I guess. And it really did:

Fashion has no fear.
