Fresh off the premiere of the iconic movie’s sequel, Emily Blunt is back on the road delivering exactly the kind of fashion our feeds have been waiting for. This time, she made her return to the 2026 Met Gala carpet wearing a certain brand we all know very well – and love, of course.

It seems that while most Hollywood A-listers would typically lean into the likes of heritage brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Schiaparelli, the Devil Wears Prada actress opted for a different route – and needless to say, here at Cosmo ME HQ, we are genuinely *obsessed* with the choice. Because when it comes to spotlighting regional talent on a global stage, this is exactly how it’s done.

The 43-year-old actress stepped onto the Met Gala carpet in New York City wearing a custom look by Ashi Studio, a corseted top paired with fluid silk trousers. The level of detail? Immaculate, as always.

Blunt’s outfit reportedly took over “250 hours of meticulous work”, as shared by founder and creative director, Mohammed Ashi, on the brand’s official Instagram. The all-black ensemble featured antique-finish tulle and silk. The corset? Naturally showcasing Ashi’s signature hand-embroidered work with glass beads and tassel detailing at the shoulders that gather at the collar, and a sharply defined waist that sculpted the silhouette to perfection in our opinion. As for the back, it’s laced together by thin, criss-cross black straps that piece everything together.

“[This dress] evokes the richness of couture ornamentation,” Mohammed Ashi shared on Instagram. It couldn’t be more on-theme for the night’s dress code: “Fashion Is Art.”

Balancing out the look, it’s complemented by a floor-length, straight-cut silk pair of trousers – a fluid and voluminous contrast to the corset.

Styled by Jessica Paster, she accessorised and elevated Emily’s couture look with a half-million-dollar Mikimoto pearl necklace, draped across the body. The 18-karat white gold piece was further complemented by the Maison’s pearl earrings and rings.

While this isn’t the first time the actress has worn an Arab designer, it’s still worth noting that she is consistently placing the region’s most sought-after names firmly under the spotlight.
