Okaaay so, Forever 21 just made the news again, but we’re sorry to say it’s nothing good.
Here’s the lowdown: apparently customers who made a plus-size purchase said they received some Atkins diet bars as freebies with their shipment. Like, what?!
Just FYI, Atkins diet bars are low-carb weight loss snacks, so we can totes see why people are mad about it. It’s like Forever 21 is reminding its customers to lose weight, smh. (https://www.techandtrends.com/)
Here’s what some tweets had to say:
Fat shaming women. Their entire demographic is female. Shame

I went from a size 24 to 18, still a plus size girl, so I ordered jeans from @Forever21 Opened the package, when I looked inside I see this Atkins bar. What are you trying to Tell me Forever 21, I’m FAT, LOSE WEIGHT? do you give these to NON-PLUS SIZE WOMEN as well? pic.twitter.com/ds8kUTs7T7

In its defense tho, Forever 21 issued a statement saying the Atkins bars were just included as free testers, and were included in the packages of all women across the sizing chart. Hmm, interesting.
Either way, this is definitely a sticky sitch for Forever 21 to be in.
