ICYMI: The McLaren Artura has officially arrived in Dubai. And. It. Is. Epic.
Last month, I was whisked away to Sonoma, California, for an introduction to the all-new Artura (love that for me) and now I basically don’t ever want to drive another car again…

It’s the first model to be built on all-new McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture. Boasting super-lightweight engineering and a lightweight body featuring superformed aluminium and carbon fibre, this high-performance supercar is lightest in its class. It weighs 50kg less than a V8 and has the highest PS/litre per KG of any V6 on the market. The result? A light-as-air supercar that’s great for speed and oh so easy to maneuver.
The hybrid supercar also marries twin turbo power with an electric motor, making my day of zipping around the Sonam coast quiet (totally inaudible, actually), slick and smooth AF. The lower emissions and ability to run in pure EV mode make this invention a real rebuttal of fossil fuels, a search for cleaner air and a quest for new solutions. Destroying the planet = out. A cleaner carbon footprint = in.
Oh, and the aesthetics? It’s cleanly sculpted, beautifully proportioned, and comes in a handful of daring colourways. (Not me matching my outfit to my test drive car…)
“Every drop of McLaren’s experience and expertise has been poured into the Artura,” says Mike Flewitt, CEO, McLaren Automotive. “Our all-new, High-Performance Hybrid delivers all of the performance, driver engagement and dynamic excellence for which McLaren is renowned, with the additional benefit of EV driving capability. The introduction of the Artura is a landmark moment – for McLaren, for our customers who will appreciate and enjoy this car on every emotional and rational level, and for the supercar world.”
Available at McLaren showrooms in the UAE, the car can be taken for a test drive and can even be purchased now.
