In an exclusive collaboration between Cosmo ME and Abu Dhabi Retail, a phenomenal 12-week series of events is taking place across Abu Dhabi’s finest malls as part of Abu Dhabi Summer Shopping Season – Summer of Style.
On August 10, keeping the childlike wonder alive in continuation of last week’s cupcake decorating event at Magnolia Bakery, Pottery Barn Kids Galleria Mall ensured that back to school season commenced on a functional yet stylish note. In fact, exclusive back to school offers are available not only at Pottery Barn Kids, but also at the finest stores across the city’s best malls from August 7 to September 10.
We’re all familiar with the excitement and anxiety associated with back to school season. Kids think to themselves, “Do I want a backpack or a trolley bag for the new school year? The event started off on a particularly fun and imaginative note. A princess ballerina performed an elegant dance routine to the classical compositions of Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of the Flowers.
And as soon as the first note of Frozen’s Let It Go echoed within the store’s walls, the kids joined in on the dancing, creating a fun and interactive sequence. This jovial dance session is perfectly on brand for Pottery Barn Kids, a brand that is committed to creating “healthy and happy spaces for children to grow.”
Cosmo ME’s Digital Editor, Sara, hosted the event wonderfully. She nurtured team work among the kids and ensured that a collaborative spirit filled the room. When the jovial kids weren’t jumping with excitement, they lounged on Pottery Barn Kids’ charming furniture – from cozy couches to enchanting princess beds.
Our event’s leading lady, Dana Elarabeed, expressed that Pottery Barn Kids is her go-to furniture/accessories destination for her kids. The 30-year-old fashion blogger is savouring every moment of motherhood with her two beautiful sons. Still, her motherhood journey has only deepened her ever-growing love for fashion, lifestyle, and travel. She recalls attending Milan Fashion Week back in 2016 and being *awestruck* by the fashion scene, to the point of tears.
But that’s not all – next up on her list of upcoming projects is a soon-to-be-opened store in honour of her motherland, Palestine. With their lifestyle initiative, Dana and her husband seek to honour their country’s heritage by showcasing Palestinian art and culture, including but not limited to traditional Palestinian dress and embroidery.

The dance portion of our event was followed by a fun and flashy photoshoot, reminding the kids that their individuality is to be celebrated. Our event’s greatest success was Pottery Barn Kids’ ability to create an association between school, teamwork, and creativity in our children’s minds.
To conclude our Kids’ Summer Party at Pottery Barn Kids, our guests were treated to Ladurée’s signature macarons and delectable pastry bites. It was the perfect opportunity for parents to peruse Pottery Barn Kids’ 2023 back to school guide and pick the school gear which best represents their child.
