Ngl, the weather has been out of sorts in Dubai. With everyone going into freakout mode as soon as a drop of rain falls from the sky we always want to know when it will be wet.
And chances are you’ve been forwarded a message today on WhatsApp claiming that there is set to be severe weather in the city from Monday night onwards.
ICYMI, the message that’s popping up in WA group chats is making some bold claims that it will be the worst weather Dubai has seen in 23 years.
The message reads: “Weather Warning just came out from my contacts at the sailing club. One of the Air Traffic Controllers he knows sent this: Some serious weather coming in tonight. Make sure everything is secured outside. S***s about to get real from tonight until Wednesday morning. Met forecaster at work said it’s the worst forecast he’s seen in 23 years in Dubai.

“Starts today, the severe ones kick in for 24 hours from 19:00hrs 15th to 21:00hrs on 16th.
“2 main waves 01:00hrs – 05:00hrs and 11:00hrs to 22:00hrs. 85mm – 120mm rain Winds sustained 25-35kts and gusts 50/60kts. Keep an eye on the weather If you’re on a project in the UAE/Dubai.”
So, is it going to rain in Dubai?
The source of the message is unclear and there’s no info on if it is legit but according to Google weather, there is a 100 percent chance of rain from 6am on Tuesday 16th April.
It also says that thunderstorms are coming…get ready to wfh.
The National also reports the National Centre of Meteorology has said that adverse conditions of rain, hail and thunder will start tonight and will continue until Wednesday.
