Having amassed over 3.7 million followers on TikTok and 1.6 million followers on Instagram, it’s irrefutably evident that Hadeel Marei has stolen countless hearts across the globe.
Truth be told, the Egyptian social media star’s charming aura and vivacious spirit do not need to be backed by numbers. We had the pleasure of catching up with this Cosmo queen at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2023’s orange carpet– and in an inspirational chat with Cosmo ME, Hadeel Marei shared her advice for a fulfilling and sustainable social media career.

Hadeel Marei’s social media insight for aspiring content creators…
Cosmo ME: You absolutely blew up on social media, so what are some of your tips and tricks for aspiring content creators?
Hadeel: My number one tip is to find your reason for what your doing, and it can’t be about the numbers. It can’t be about your followers, your watch time, your likes, the money. If you’re focused on the numbers then you’ll lose the passion. That’s my one and only true tip. My trick is consistency; be consistent, and don’t be scared to explore with content. I’m big on trial and error, so keep trying. If it doesn’t work, get up and try again. If the passion is there, then it doesn’t matter how many times you fail.
Cosmo ME: Was there ever a time when you were attached to the numbers, and did it affect you in any way? Or have you always been detached from the numbers?
Hadeel: I try my best to find my balance away from that because there will be a time when you’ll be fixated on the numbers. The numbers reflect the quality, and they might reflect whether something worked or didn’t work. It would give you the confirmation that you need, but then you would have to detach from that and find your balance constantly. I’m not perfect, and I’m still working on it everyday. But I’m trying.

Cosmo ME: You’ve been able to build such a great community of amazing fans and supporters. If there’s one thing that you could tell every single person that follows you, what would it be?
Hadeel: You are a human being, and you don’t constantly need to be a human doing. Namaste, Hadeel Buddha. I don’t know where that came from (laughs).
We wish Hadeel Marei continued success and joy in all of her projects moving forward.
