It’s finally here! The region’s largest and best pop culture festival, Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) is back for its 12th edition. Comic Con 2024 is set to take place in Abu Dhabi from February 9 to February 11, 2024 – at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Early bird tickets are *officially* up for grabs, with savings of up to 40% off door prices.

Troy Baker! Gaming enthusiasts across the globe can meet the man, the myth, *the legend* Troy Baker at Comic Con 2024/MEFCC in Abu Dhabi. The beloved American voice actor and musician is, of course, best known for his stellar roles in gaming titles: Joel in The Last of Us, Snow Villiers from Final Fantasy XIII, and Jonesy in Fortnite. Fun fact: Troy Baker is one of the only voice actors who has voiced both the Joker and Batman. Talk about a jack of all trades…
Troy’s undeniable status as a legendary voice actor extends beyond just gaming titles, and into the world of anime with a number anime characters including Baki Hanma from Baki and Yamato, and Pain from Naruto Shippuden along with other anime titles such as Fullmetal Alchemist, One Piece and Bleach. We absolutely *cannot* wait to meet Troy at Comic Con 2024 (!!)
Cosplay competitions, and a *literal* trip to Japan…
Registrations for the Cosplay Competition, consisting of four different categories are also officially open. Each category was conceptualized with the devoted cosplay community in mind, offering a truly unforgettable experience for fans at Comic Con 2024/MEFCC.
By entering the World Cosplay Summit Preliminaries, cosplayers in the UAE and beyond have the chance to travel to *Japan*, to represent the UAE at the World Cosplay Summit finals in Nagoya (!!)
Comic Con 2024/MEFCC is hosting three additional cosplay categories: Best Craftsmanship, Best Performance on Stage, and Best Kids Cosplay. The best craftsmanship and best performance winners are entitled to a prize pool of Dhs35,000. As for our little heroes and participants in the kids cosplay – well, they’re all winners.
MEFCC has quickly become one of the most anticipated and acclaimed events in the region, showcasing the best of regional and international entertainment in Film, TV, Sci-Fi, Anime, Manga, Comics, Collectibles, and more.
