Even though the movie Frozen came out almost five years ago, the world still has “Let It Go” stuck in its head, and it’s not going away any time soon. And that’s partly thanks to the Frozen Broadway musical, which has kept us up to date with the world of Arendelle.
The producers behind Broadway’s Frozen released a behind-the-scenes video behind that earworm of a song, and it’ll take you right back to the magic of the movie. Caissie Levy, who portrays Elsa in the Broadway show, totally kills her version of “Let It Go.” The movie version was amazing, of course, and Levy adds a drama and that’s even more majestic and impressive than the original.
Besides the amazing vocals, the video features some backstage scenes, with Levy and her castmates getting ready to take the stage. Keep an eye out for Patti Murin, who plays Anna, and Jelani Alladin, who plays Kristoff. The video also shows the final bow, and shots of some lucky fans getting autographs from the cast.
The Frozen musical has been nominated for multiple Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score (Music and/or Lyrics) Written for the Theatre.
Frozen is currently running on Broadway, at the St. James Theater in New York City. If you can’t make it to New York for the show, they’ve just released the official Broadway cast recording. And if you’re still looking to see it on the big screen, you’ll have to wait until November 27, 2019 for the sequel.
