"I'll never let go Jack", and, was she right! Kate Winslet first met Leonardo DiCaprio on the set of the iconic film Titanic, and they haven't left each others side since. Not only are they the dreamy duo in reel-time (get it?) but they are close friends that are immensely supportive of each other's work. They've always been open about their friendship, and have always shared their hilarious tales from their nearly 20 years. Most of these stories would make you giggle whilst going 'awww' at this awesome twosome!

1. Their hilarious text conversation whilst shooting Titanic

While talking to E NewsKate admitted: '[Leonardo and I] did speak before filming, and he did sort of say to me, 'Oh my gosh, you are crazy. It's going to be freezing cold. Do you honestly know what you are setting yourself up for?'" she admitted.

She added: "I would send him little photos of me saying, 'Thinking of you,' as I am lying in the freezing snow covered ice and he would just send back slightly worried emojis".

2. The fan-favorite Oscar moment

How can we forget the historic Oscar win by Leonardo Dicaprio. As Leo walks to the stage to accept his much awaited award, Kate watches him with tears in her eyes. Such a simple yet beautiful potrayal of support by our lovely Rose. This moment left all the Titanic fans in awe.

5. Kate reminiscing the first time she met Leo, and remembers it like it was yesterday

"I actually first met him at Cannes film festival. He was there and I was there, and we had already heard that both of us had auditioned for Titanic and met Jim Cameron. I was so excited because the possibility of working was there" Kate told Magnus Sundholm.

"I met him in the hotel room with David Blaine and they were both doing magic tricks. I look back on that time and I think, my gosh it does seem so long ago. That's one of my greatest friendships and I'm so lucky to have him. He makes me laugh so much".

6. And of course the historic Golden Globes 2009

The Titanic fans were rewarded with seeing Leo and Kate together once again for the Revolutionary Road in 2009. What made it even more special was Kate Winslet's beautiful speech whilst winning a Golden Globe for the film.

“Leo, I’m so happy I can stand here and tell you how much I love you and how much I’ve loved you for 13 years, and your performance in this film is nothing short of spectacular. I love you with all my heart, I really do,”
