You'd have to have been living in a cave for the past week to have missed the news that Prince Harry is set to wed Suits actress Meghan Markle in May. But it wasn't too long ago that they were shuffling around in secret, with Meghan giving us only cryptic Instagram posts to go on.
You may remember one snap in particular, posted by the US actress while Harry was visiting her in Canada in November last year. The adorable picture showed two bananas cuddling up alongside each other and Meghan captioned it with: "Sleep tight xx."
At the time, the post sent Royal fans into a frenzy as it finally appeared to confirm what everyone was thinking - that she'd been swept off her feet by a dashing Prince. Fast-forward a year, however, and it appears the photo holds even bigger significance than we all thought - so much so, that it will apparently feature in the couple's wedding plans.
According to The Telegraph, sources have claimed Prince Harry and Meghan want a wedding cake made from bananas. The insider added: "This will be the first royal wedding cake made from bananas."
This comes after the Prince's former royal chef, Darren McGrady, previously told Hello! magazine that, as kids, Harry and his brother William "loved banana flan, anything with banana really, banana ice cream".
It seems he really does go bananas over bananas.
We imagine the finished article will be slightly way more glamorous than the humble banana loaf. After all, Wills and Kate's main wedding cake was EIGHT tiers tall.
Hopefully they'll remember to save us a piece.
