During an official tour of Singapore, Prince Harry joined the country’s muslim community for iftar, last night. The 32-year-old sat down to the traditional Ramadan meal with the young people at a community centre run by Muslim voluntary organisation, Jamiyah Singapore.

The iftar was held for Action for Aids charity at Singapore’s Eden Hall, and Harry started his meal with a traditional date and porridge, bubur.

“We are honoured that Prince Harry was able to join us for this iftar and to meet with the young people that are part of the Jamiyah Singapore community,” Dr Mohd Hasbi Abu Bakar, president of Jamiyah Singapore said of the royal visitor.

The Jamiyah Singapore organization “provides a range of services from help for recovering addicts to residential homes for young people,” according to the Daily Mail.

Harry is in Singapore on an official visit for two days.
