Halima Aden, the badass teen from Minnesota who became the first Muslim to walk in New York Fashion Week while wearing her hijab, has appeared in her first-ever campaign and the images are absolutely stunning.
In the ads, which are for luxury modest online retailer The Modist, Halima wears various floor-length gowns and jackets in the most beautiful colors and patterns. She also adorns her head with soft pink and taupe hijabs. The limited-edition kaftans in the photos are part of a special collection of pieces available exclusively at Themodist.com, made in celebration of Ramadan.
Designers in the campaign include Mary Katrantzou, Adam Lippes, Osman, For Restless Sleepers, and more. Now, just try and take your eyes off of these pictures. You probably won't be able to because everything about them is beautiful. Especially Halima.
The colours are dreamy.
The embroidery is so intricate.
And the blooming trees in the background aren't too shabby either.
Seriously, it's too much.
