Over the past few months, Australia has faced an unimaginable crisis. The bushfires have ripped through communities in the country. Since the fire began, it has destroyed ove 1,500 homes, thousands have evacuated and nearly 500 million animals have been killed in the fire. The fires have basically combined to form a single bigger blaze . According to BBC, since the fires started in September, about 14.8 million acres of land have been burned, 20 people have died, and 17 others have been reported missing.
I want to give some perspective for people not from Australia.
More Aussie land is currently burning than exists in the entire country of Belgium. The smoke is causing breathing problems in New Zealand, 2,000km away. Half a billion animals have been killed. Eight people are dead.— Bodie Ashton (@manwithoutatan) January 1, 2020

How To Help:
Australians caught up in the crisis are taking to social media and pleading for help. As the fire blazes on, firefighters and relief groups are running out of items. It might seem like there's no way to help from the UAE, but you can. Donating and helping victims affected by the bushfire can/will go a long way. Foodbank also accepts pet food and personal hygiene products.
If you know anyone living in Australia, they can help by working with Airbnb to help offer free temporary hosuing for evacuees and first responders.
