Prepare for your Instagram feed to never be the same again, because Kim Kardashian has just gone and done the most un-Kim Kardashian thing ever and revealed she won't be posting nude pictures any longer. After years of successfully breaking the internet with her steamy, near-naked photos, she's decided that she's pumping the brakes on the revealing snaps.
In a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim and Kanye West were discussing her Met Gala outfit, which the rapper thought was "too sexy". Ultimately, Kim wore the dress and she's now insisted Kanye does give her the freedom to dress how she likes.
Referencing the scenes in a new interview with The Cut, Kim said her decision to scale back the nude snaps is not entirely down to Kanye, which is something. "I saw this whole thing where it’s like, 'She’s so demure, and she’s covered, and I was like, 'Guys, I had a shearling coat on and a turtleneck because it’s, like, freezing.' But I think I have [covered up] a little bit."
She went on: "I don’t know if it’s the fact that my husband has voiced that sometimes too sexy is just overkill and he’s not comfortable with that. I listen to him and understand him. Still, at the end of the day, he always gives me the freedom to be and do what I want. But I have kind of had this awakening myself."
Kim admitted she's been reflecting on some of the content she's posted in the past, including her famous Paper magazine shoot. "I realised I could not even scroll through Instagram in front of my kids without full nudity coming up on my feed pretty much all the time," Kim said.
The KUWTK reality star also explained she worries about the effect her posts can have on the work she's doing for criminal justice reform. "I also did think, like, 'okay, I’m here in the White House and then the next day I was posting, like, a crazy bikini selfie'. And I was thinking, 'I hope they don’t see this'. I have to go back there next week," she added.
