'Stories From Arabia' showcased their ss20 collection during London Fashion Week and we're so PROUD!

Stories from Arabia is a platform created by Jalila Elmastouki to represent Arab designers at fashion week. Some major designers under the umbrella are Estilo by Haifa, The Black Pearl.qa, Nora Alabdullah and 1Mor Fashion.

Scroll down to see my fave runway looks.

Haifa is an incredibly talented fashion designer from Saudi Arabia. This collection features full length gowns/skirts. Fringe, sheer lace, feathers and glitter were used to create very elegant outfits. Her collection pays homage to 1920's fashion but she has put an 'arabic spin' on it. I love it!

This Qatari-based designer is known for modernizing the traditional Abaya. This Abaya collection is made with high-quality silk fabric, in soft pastel colours. The Abayas were paired with  sleek and metallic face accessories, for a luxurious and unique finish. Gorgeous!

3. Nora Alabdullah

Kuwati designer Nora, has created a collection with 4 pre-dominant colors:black, green, gold and peach. Stripes, sequins, oversized sleeves and sheer material are present in this collection. The dresses vary in length and style. The short, halter neck dresses with sequins can be worn to parties. The full length gowns are perfect for evening wear and occassion wear. The intricate embroidery and light-weight fabrics are perfect for the region.

4. 1 Mor Fashion

This UK based designer has created a collection that heavily features dark fabrics with metallic designs. The elegant bead work kinda reminds of Balmain runway looks. I approve.

To recap

It's such an inspiration to see Arabian talent and culture represented at such prestigious events. I'm sure these designers have empowered thousands of women accross the Middle East and i honestly can't wait for their next show!
