Taylor Swift makes songs to feed a hopeless romantic's dreams and that''s a fact.
Whether you're a big fan or not, you can't deny how relatable and empowering her songs are, so we were all squealing with excitement when Taylor finally released her Lover album.
The 29-year-old unleashed her seventh studio album on Friday, and it's safe to say that it received positive reviews from both fans and critics alike. The 18-song collection has already broken many sales records, and at this point, we don't even know what to expect at the end of its first week.
According to Billboard, the sales reports of the album given to Nielson Music reached 500,000 through its second day of release on Saturday, an additional 50,000 after the album clocked in 450,000 sales during the first 24-hours of release.
While many are estimating the first week sales to have a total of around 700,000 between albums and streams, we actually think it'll reach higher than that.
Lover did in fact surpassed Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack, which was 2019's top seller, with 440,000 in sales throughout the week, and ended on August 22nd. So we think Taylor will breeze through swiftly through the first week with flying colours.
I mean, she already managed to reach half a million sales in just 48-hours, so we can only imagine how successful the album will be by the end of the week. This will be the sixth time Taylor lands first on the US charts.
