- Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have reportedly called off their relationship.
- The news of their breakup comes after six years of dating.
It's yet another sad day for celebrity breakups. Just when we thought we were finally beginning to get over the Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth split, the celebrity gods thought that now would be the perfect time to break up another pair of seemingly in love individuals. I now ask you to turn your attention to Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx, because their six-year long romance has reportedly ended for good. I'm sorry, I need a moment right now (*wipes away tears*).
E! News and Us Weekly are both reporting that Katie and Jaime broke up. According to a Page Six report, Katie was overheard talking to some friends while dining at NYC's La Esquina restaurant. Allegedly, Katie told one of her friends that she and Jamie have actually been over for quite some time. “What Jamie does is his business—we haven’t been together for months,” Katie said, according to the source. Uhhh, yikes.
Further adding fuel to the flames is the fact that Jamie was recently spotted leaving a nightclub with a "mystery woman." The woman was later identified as Sela Vave, an upcoming singer who Jamie has worked with in the past. In June, Sela posted some friendly looking photos of her and Jamie together and said she's very grateful for him.
Katie and Jamie were first rumored to be dating back in 2013, about a year after Katie's divorce from her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. Jamie and Katie kept their relationship secret for years until they went public in 2018 at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammys Gala. The last event they attended together was the 2019 Met Gala, where they walked their first formal red carpet as a couple.
Just a couple months ago, things seemed to be looking okay for the couple. Though they were reportedly very happy with each other, they weren't necessarily looking to take the next step in their relationship as far as an engagement or wedding. “Katie and Jamie live a very private lifestyle and intend to keep it that way,” a source told Us Weekly back in April. “They don’t plan on getting engaged anytime soon because they’re happy with how things are right now.”
