We Listed Down 6 Things You Can Do With Your Friends And Fam This Eid Al Adha

So, Eid Al Adha in the UAE is coming up, and we know how tempting it can get to just laze around in bed all day, especially after a stressful week at uni or work.

But Eid celebrations aren't just about the five-day long holiday, it's a season to spend time with your friends and family! Seriously, guys, if you're reading this while curled up in bed, not bothered to make plans for the long week-end, then we're here to give you the best reasons to seize the day.

Here are a list of things, and events that will entertain you during Eid:

1. There Will Be Fireworks!

Uhh, who doesn't enjoy fireworks? Not only are they super Instagramable, it brings a sense of togetherness with the rest of the people too. Go to Dubai Festival City for the biggest fireworks display, on August 11 and August 12, from 8pm to 10pm each night. The fireworks display will happen alongside the mall's usual lazer and light show, so expect an overwhelming burst of colour.

2. Get off Netflix and head to Reel Cinemas

Yeah okay, we get it, snuggling up in bed with your laptop and a bowl of popcorn is a lazy girl's dream this Eid, but why not make good use of the 24/7 cinema hours, and watch some new screenings? Reel Cinemas will remain open on both Eid weekends on the August 11 and August 12, and we expect to see a huge line at the counters, so it's best to book you tickets in advance here

3. Extended Shopping Extravaganza

Shopping will be amazing this Eid! Most malls will still be bustling past midnight; Majid Al Futtaim malls, including Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre, and City Center Mirdiff will be open until 1am, while The Dubai Mall will close at 2am. So, grab the chance and put on your comfy shoes, because we're about to scavenge through the shops for the best deals.

4. Light Show at Legoland

If you fancy more of a chill day with you fam, and want to enjoy shows instead, Legoland at the Dubai Parks will be the place to go. Starting on August 8, light beams will decorate the huge lego structures in the themed-park every evening at 7:45pm. I know what you're thinking; wouldn't it be too hot and humid? Don't worry, the light show will take place indoors in an air-conditioned Miniland, soooo... you have no excuse.

5. Destress And... Smash?

Okay, before you raise your eyebrows, hear us out. This is for all you people who want to try out something new and fun with your besties. The Smash Room is a new attraction in Dubai, where you can literally take out your stress by smashing objects with a hammer. Dunno about you but that sounds better than accidentally throwing your phone to the wall in frustration. For more info, visit their website.

6. Slip, Slide and Swim

This heat can be so unbearable, and sometimes we just wanna jump into a pool of water while walking outdoors. Luckily for you, the Laguna waterpark at La Mer is hosting a Caribbean Fest from 5pm to 10pm on August 10 and 11, and tickets have been reduced to just Dhs99! Brb, gonna go swimsuit shopping.
