With Dubai getting warmer (okay, swelteringly hot) by the day, all I want is ice cream. Like, all. The. Time. So when I discovered I could get free ice cream this weekend, I got a little excited, to say the least.
Here's how: Nouq and Deliveroo have teamed up to celebrate World Camel Day, and Deliveroo will give the first 300 orders made from its Editions site free ice cream (or until supplies last). The ice cream flavours will include chocolate, pistachio, vanilla and caramel biscuit.
The camel milk ice cream is hormone-free, has low cholesterol, low calories and is super light. The best part is that it suits people who are lactose intolerant! Amazing.
Here are a couple of facts about camel milk (in-case you were wondering)...
1. According to Live Science, camel milk has more iron and vitamin C than cow's milk.
2. Because camel milk contains insulin, "Consuming camel milk causes a significant reduction in insulin doses in type 1 diabetic patients", says Organic Facts.
3. Journal of Dairy Research mentioned there are high levels of proteins and other organic compounds in camel milk, and therefore it helps build immunity.
To conclude, I only see positive reasons to eat all the ice cream available.
