One faithful evening at a dinner party with my family, I thought I wanted to look special, so I used a bit of make-up.

And unlucky for me, my eyes became yellow because it turns out that I’m allergic to eyeshadow. Yes, you read that right. I’m literally allergic to eye shadow.

At first, I thought that it was because it wasn’t a professional brand of makeup that I used. So later, I tried professional make-up brands like MAC and Inglot. The exact same thing happened. Eventually, I accepted that I was simply never going to be able to wear eyeshadow.

But then, I decided to try one more time with Mikyajy. The Saudi Arabian company focuses on “the cultural nuances and needs of the region”. Mikyajy specialises in eyeshadows, mascara, lipsticks, basically, all things face, nail polishes, fragrances and accessories.

While I am not sure why my eyes don’t react to this brand, I’m very happy that I get to experiment with eyeshadows. Mikyajy shops can be found in Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

And the eye-shadows are reasonably priced too.
