Last week luxury French fashion brand Givenchy started posting Ariana Grande-shaped silhouettes to its Instagram account and we couldn't help but read through the not-so-cryptic pictures and conclude that Ari was going to be their new face.

And 'surprise suprise', on Friday #Arivenchy was revealed. But it is perhaps why the popstar was chosen that is most interesting. Givenchy chose Ari because she's a strong, independent woman. SO HERE FOR THIS. 

This girl has been smashing records, nailing every performance and coming out on top for a while now. So really, it’s only fitting she be rewarded with this high honour.

According to a statement posted on the Givenchy website, Ari

“Naturally embodies the spirit of the Givenchy woman with impertinence, generosity and a lightning wit – all cloaked in a touch of mystery.” 

Do we even dare to disagree with that?

Her signature high ponytail hair flip just had to be a part of the Givenchy AW19 campaign. Plus, it's only fitting that Ariana's line is the autumn/winter collection as her entire fashion sense is decorated with the most stylish oversized jackets and coats. 

The campaign is set to be unveiled in July, so until then we'll just be clutching our pearls and flipping our hair in anticipation. It's what Ariana would want us to do. 

Now, to the keen eye, you'll feel a strong sense of déjà vu when you glance at the #Arivenchy campaign image. If you can't quite put your finger on it, allow us to demonstrate why it looks all too familiar.

Ariana's imitation of Audrey Hepburn is spot on and an ode to a classic! We also love how Ariana put her own spin on the "Breakfast at Tiffany's" aesthetic made famous by the legendary Audrey Hepburn, with her pearl-embellished hair do. 

Ariana may have dropped hints about this collab with Givenchy way back when she released her hit single, '7 Rings', because the song literally opens with her singing: "Breakfast at Tiffany's and bottles of bubbles". Fascinating isn't it, to see how her brilliant mind works.
