Okay guys, there are exactly three more days until we can watch the first episode of Game of Thrones. It feels like we’ve all been waiting an eternity for the final season to come out on April 14. You know, ever since that cold, dark August night back in 2017, when the last episode of Season 7 rolled out and left us with all these unanswered questions.
Here are all the biggest things on our minds atm that we're hoping they address:
1. R + L = J??
Umm, is anyone on the show going to tell Jon that Ned Stark isn’t really his father, or do I need to step in? Like, seriously, it’s not that hard, people. The show has been dropping hints as to Jon being the true born son of Rhaegar Targaryen (Danareys Targaryen's brother) and Lyanna Stark (Ned Stark's sister), left right and center. I want to see the look on Jon's face when he finds out he isn't a Snow.
2. What's going to happen with Cersei's pregnancy?
That is...if she really is pregnant. Some theories suggest her pregnancy was all a ploy to get Jamie to swear his loyalty to her completely, now that they had a child on the way. Would she stoop so low? If you have to think about that question, you clearly haven't watched the show enough *cue the tape of Cersei using wildfire to blow up the Sept of Baelor in all its chaotic glory*. Also interesting to note, Jamie was seen making quite the dramatic exit at the end of Season 7. What does all this mean for the Lannisters?
3. What does the future hold for Viserion?
The now zombie ice dragon, that helped the Night King burn a hole right through The Wall, is the one to look out for in GOT's latest season. Imo, he's the biggest threat, not the Night King because hello, it's an ice-breathing dragon with the power to burn through a wall that's been around for thousands of years. Does this mean Dany will have to face off against her dragon? Wait, will she have to kill him?
4. Will we be in for Cleganebowl in Season 8?
It's the fight that's been in the works ever since Season 1; the fight between The Hound and The Mountain, between Sandor and Gregor Clegane. These two mighty warriors are bound to battle it out in a good old-fashioned brotherly brawl in the newest season and we're all out here wondering, who's the better fighter? I mean, I think we all want The Hound to win because as much as we hate to admit it, his trash talk is the comic relief that the show needs in these dark times. But, does he have what it takes to go up against his Frankenstein-y, mute brother?
5. Is Tormund OK?
So, everyone's fave Wildling (other than Ygritte ofc, gone but never forgotten), Tormund, was seen last season attempting to escape Eastwatch with Beric Dondarion, with little to no chance of survival. Would the show's creators actually have the audacity to kill such a beloved character like Tormund off-screen? Well yeah, it's GOT, anything goes, but what about Tormund + Brienne and all the "monster babies" they were going to have? We need answers.
