We’ve told you all about the movies to get excited for in this New Year, but what about all the TV shows set to make their much-awaited return. Let's not waste any more time. Get comfy as I'm about to take you through all the shows that will soon be gracing our small screens.

1. 'Game Of Thrones', Season 8

It’s the epic finale we’ve all been waiting for. The battle of the century where we witness the White Walkers in all their scary glory (not to mention, they’ve got one of Daenerys’ dragons on their side now). Much to look forward to when the last season rolls out and, we’re sure it’s definitely going to be worth the wait.

I’m sure by now you’ve all binged this creep-tastic show (there honestly is no other word to describe it), and can’t wait to see what the future holds for Candace and Joe. Idk about you but, I was definitely one of the few who spat out whatever they were sipping when Candace came on screen to leave us with that epic cliff-hanger, in the final episode of the last season. Fingers crossed, Season 2 will be just as eerie, or maybe even more…

Who doesn’t miss this fabulous band of fierce, fearless women? We know, we do. Good news is they’ll be back on our screens within the year for Season 2 and, it promises to be wild as ever (just how we like it). You can expect more lies, duality of friendships, fragility of marriage and their vicious brand of parenting in the new season. BONUS: Meryl Streep will make an appearance. EEEKS!
Releasing in: 2019

4. ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’, Season 2

The lovable blonde from Greendale will be gracing our screens pretty soon with her dark coming-of-age story, bringing with it new levels of horror and suspense. The new season will delve into the chilling way in which Sabrina changes and shifts, and how her life takes certain turns. Bad news though guys, we don’t think Season 2 is where Riverdale and Sabrina will make the grand crossover, that we all soooo desperately crave. *insert sad face emoji*
Releasing in: April 2019

5.  ‘Peaky Blinders’, Season 5

This world class English crime/family drama hit the ground running from the second it was released in 2013, and was a big hit everywhere. Season 5 is set to pick up in the aftermath of the 1929 stock market crash and how, turmoil and misfortune befalls the town. We’ve just managed to get over John Shelby’s (played by Joe Cole) demise, and now, we’ve got to brace ourselves for the darkness that lies ahead for Tommy Shelby in the newest season.
Releasing in: Summer 2019

6. ‘Stranger Things’, Season 3

All we know so far is that the new season will be set a year after Season 2, the Mind Flayer and Eleven’s controlling father, Papa, may both rear their ugly heads again while, more details about Hopper’s daughter, Sara may be revealed. We have so many questions, and you can find us hanging on to the edge of our seats, until the new season drops. Also, here’s hoping we see more of the bromance between Steve and Dustin in season 3.

Possibly the TV show with the catchiest theme song ever, in our opinion, of course. A quick recap: Piper, played by Taylor Schilling was granted early release (who ever thought the day would come, right?), there was a prison wedding (which was super emosh, we loved it) and, Taystee was convicted. Pretty normal stuff in the lives of the women in OITNB. We can’t wait to see what else is in store…
Releasing in: Late 2019

8. ‘Black Mirror’, Season 5

We’re still recoiling from the revolutionary interactive film, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, and we’re hungry for more trippy Black Mirror goodness. We’re in luck, because the dystopian sci-fi anthology series is coming back to set our minds ablaze with situations that will definitely leave us confused and, with a ton of questions. Are you ready or, are you reeeaaaady? Bonus: Miley Cyrus may, or may not be in the latest season.
Releasing in: Early-to-mid 2019
