It’s almost December and, we’ve just been graced with the lovely rain showers that accompany Middle Eastern winters. And, you know what that means? It’s time to break out the winter wardrobe: all those cozy hoodies, knee-high boots, snuggly onesies and ofc (my personal fav) the super cute beanies!

Obviously, with a change in season and wardrobe, comes a change in our makeup looks. Yep, it’s time to ditch the bright summery hues and, sport the cooler tones of winter. We're talking violets, fuschias, raspberry, and if you’re feeling a little adventurous, the glittery gold and silver shades!

To help you nail that winter look, here are some to-die-for looks that we've spotted on Instagram:

1. Glitter on Fleek

I always get weak in the knees when I see a killer winged liner but, the addition of glitter is sheer perfection. This glam eye look paired with the killer red lip is perfect for the festive season.

Occasion: A Christmas party or a fancy holiday dinner with friends.

2. Shimmer Me

The gift-giving season always gets us feeling all warm and glowy inside, So, why not glow on the outside as well with this out-of-the-world glow up? Also, I'm totally one of those classic, can-never-go-wrong with a red lip kinda gals (and I hope you are too), so I'm definitely down with this look.

Occasion: A special date with your S.O.

3. This Ain't No Smokescreen

Who doesn't love a smoky eye? Set your lasers to stun with this sultry glam look. I think it's especially important to note that when you go heavy on the eyes, it's crucial that you keep the rest of your make-up simple. You know, to ensure that you don't get that dreaded clown aesthetic. In the look below, the smoky eye is balanced with a nude lip, and it does the trick, ever so magically.

Occasion: A gala dinner or NYE party.

4. Oh So Sugarplum!

Glitter lipstick, guys. Glitter lipstick! I can't think of a better way to up your pout game this season, than by slapping some glitter on. Can you ever have too much glitter? No. Also, let's talk about the absolute masterpiece, that is the eye make-up look below! The dark bronze-y colours really add another level of glam to a winged look.

Occasion: A dinner date or clubbing.

5. Warm 'n' Toasty

These warm colours are ideal for cooler climes and, they can really spice up your winter look. Pop some colour on those lids and rock the peachy-pink hue on your kisser this festive season.

Occasion: A brunch or breakfast.

6. Just a Splash of Colour

If you're feeling bold, then this is the look for you, missy. It uses three bold colours; green, purple and pink, so, it's not really for the faint of heart and should not be taken lightly. That said, I'm still in love with this look though, and it'll work wonders for you if you enjoy turning heads wherever you go.

Occasion: Party or clubbing.

7. Edgy Glam

If purples and pinks aren't your thing, you can stick to the classics and still look holiday ready. All you need to do is add a dash of shimmery shadow and a red lip and,  your edgy look will have a chic festive twist. It's the perfect look to say: "Hey, give me presents, but please don't expect me to give you anything in return." I'm sure all my broke readers can relate.

Occasion: Formal function or dinner with friends.

8. Be You-nicorn

This look is for all the girly girls out there. It's literally the cutest, most sweetest thing I've seen so far (Srsly. Getting my sugar levels tested rn). Have you ever seen purple and pink blend this well before? It's giving me major unicorn vibes and, I love it. Not to mention there's glitter in there as well. Pair this  look with a soft pink lip and, the result will guarantee you at least five cute selfies. Ten, if you add some blinding highlighter.

Occasion: Ladies night.

9. Metallic Fantasy

Go all out with this epic metallic dream. It combines a range of mesmerizing metal hues to achieve a killer flutter look, that'll definitely have heads rolling. Gold, copper, silver – you name it, it's there. This takes the smoky look and raises the bar even higher (Psshh and you foolishly thought that wasn't possible...). Stick on a sharp wing, and you're ready to hit the town!

Occasion: A New Year's ball or for a night of dancing.
