Congratulations to Ellie Goulding and Caspar Jopling, who have just announced the news of their engagement in The Times.
The couple - who have been in a relationship for almost two years - shared the news in the paper's engagement section, which read (via The Mail): "The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands."
The 31-year-old singer reportedly met the 26-year-old art dealer - who works at Sotheby's in strategy and Contemporary Art - through their royal mutual friends Princess Eugenie, and her fiance James Brooksbank.
Caspar has a degree in art history from Harvard University, and he also attended posh boarding school Eton.
Ellie - who has previously dated Dougie Poynter on and off for two years - recently revealed that her relationship with Caspar is the first she's fully nurtured and learned from, telling the Observer: "I thought for a long time that I could never really take the time to nurture a relationship because I'm never around.
"I haven't been touring for the past year, so I think this is the first time I've realised what it's like to be in a relationship and learn to be with someone.
"It also helps when you find someone who is very special and understands your job.
"The time that I spend somewhere is always so fleeting and I'm never in one place for long. That can stir up emotions, you're constantly re-evaluating and changing your life plans."
The star has previously dated radio DJ Greg James and music producer Skrillex. She has also been romantically linked to Prince Harry.
