Meghan Markle attended her first Trooping the Colour on Saturday and now everyone wants to know — how did her outfit compare to the one that Kate Middleton wore to her first TtC? Well, calm yo self, because I have the all the answers!
Today, Meghan wore a dress by Carolina Herrera with a matching Philip Treacy fascinator. She looked BEYOND. Meghan's dress is also noteworthy because, according to The Sun, it breaks royal protocol because "fashion tradition usually dictates that royal women do not wear off-shoulder or other more revealing styles."
And back in 2011, Kate wore a cream double-breasted coat by Alexander McQueen with a black Lock & Co hat.
Please note that in both 2011 and in 2018, Kate arrived with Camilla, Duchess Of Cornwall. That's because Prince William and Prince Charles both rode on horseback and not in a carriage because they're royal colonels of the Household Division, and that's tradition.
Per the royal family's official website, Trooping the Colour is, "Over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians come together each June in a great display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare to mark The Queen's official birthday." (Although, as you already know because you're obsessed with the royals, the Queen's actual birthday is April 21.)
And of course, this year, Meghan and Kate shared a super sweet moment together . Sisters!
