3 Ways To Get Celeb-Worthy Beach Waves

It takes so much more effort to make your hair look effortless than it does to get it coiffed and pretty. But with the perfect product and right kind of celeb inspo, you can get summer beach wave ready in minutes right at home. Here's Cosmo’s super easy guide to flaunting your waves like the stars:

1. Natural

Khloé's Style: She's all about the relaxed, natural look with minimal waves.

How to: Every piece of art starts off with a clean canvas. So give your hair a good wash with a nourishing and strengthening shampoo & conditioner. We love the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner, because they not only repair your hair, they also protect it from all the heat and styling products. Wrap your damp, towel-dried hair into a tight twisted bun on top of your head. Sleep in it and wake up with mermaid waves! Unwrap the bun and work in a shine serum for an added healthy glow.

2. Voluminous

Chrissy's Style: Chrissy loves to style her wild mane into big, defined waves with major volume.

How to: Work a big dollop of volumising mousse into your damp locks and concentrate on your roots. Now use a curling brush and a hair dryer with a diffuser to work in volume from the roots. For waves that stay in shape all day, opt to wear heated curlers for 30 minutes. If you don’t have the time you can also use a flat iron to create soft waves. Just wrap each section around the iron and slowly pull it through the streaks. The more voluminous your hair, the better this look will turn out. We're a big fan of the TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Shampoo and Conditioner. Use it on the regular and your hair will be bombshell fabulous.

3. Defined

Blake's Style: Blake is known for her perfectly tousled locks. Defined loose curls are the key to this Boho chic look.

How to: We always recommend using a heat protector spray before you start with styling this look, as there's a lot of direct contact with a curling iron. Try TRESemmé Platinum Strength Heat Defence Spray. Make sure your hair is completely dry before you start using your curling wand, otherwise you may cause some major damage to your locks. Once it's dry, start sectioning your hair into medium sized (approx. a handful) parts. Start from the neck and slowly work yourself to the crown of your head. Take one section at a time, mist it with the heat protectant spray. Then, tightly curl it around a medium sized curling wand. Hold for a few seconds, release and pin it down in the curling position. This will help hold the curl’s shape. Repeat for every section and unclip. Finish off by generously misting your hair with a volumising hair spray.
