It was announced earlier in February that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would be giving an interview to Oprah Winfrey for the first time after announcing their stepping down as senior royals. The “wide-ranging” interview would apparently cover everything from marriage, motherhood, and philanthropic work to spending life as a royal – AKA, it’s a special that no one would want to miss.
Especially in the midst of all the royal drama between the couple and the rest of Queen Lizzie’s family.Â
Not only is this the first time the Sussexes do a major broadcast after giving up their royal duties, but it’s also the first time they do any kind of broadcast since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their pregnancy with baby no.2!Â
The teaser of the trio’s sit down shows Oprah saying “I just want to make it clear to everybody there is no subject that’s off-limits,” she goes on to ask Meghan, “Were you silent or were you silenced?”
A second preview even shows Prince Harry truthfully saying, “You know, for me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine what it must’ve been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago,” referring to his late mother and the people’s princess, Princess Diana.
The CBS Primetime Special will go live on March 7, and we’ll be patiently be waiting till then for all the tea!Â
