Last night, Demi Lovato took to the stage at the 2020 Grammy Awards to give her first live performance since 2018.
Her emotional return saw a performance of her song Anyone, in which she opens up about her time in rehab and struggles with loneliness.
The 27-year-old singer skipped the Grammys red carpet and took straight to the stage. Before her performance, she said to New Music Daily, “I almost listen back and hear these lyrics as a cry for help And you kind of listen back to it and you kind of think, ‘How did nobody listen to this song and think, 'Let’s help this girl?’”
"I was recording it in a state of mind where I felt I was okay, but clearly I wasn’t,” Demi added. “I even listen back to it and I’m like, ‘Gosh, I wish I could go back in time and help that version of myself.’"
Welcome back to the stage, queen.
