Timothée Chalamet (aka one of the hottest actors) impersonated Harry Styles (aka one of the hottest singers) and I’m liiiving for it. Who dreamt up this perfect sketch idea? Idk, but they have my unending gratitude. Timothée made his Saturday Night Live hosting debut with a surprisingly sweet monologue that included a shout-out to his mom.
“It is a huge honor to be hosting Saturday Night Live in New York City! Man, I’m so happy to be here,” he began. “I’m from New York, I live in New York. I actually grew up in an arts building in Hell’s Kitchen about 12 minutes from here. Before I was born, my mom was a dance teacher but on occasion, she would do background work on Saturday Night Live.”
They proceeded to show a clip of his mom and later in the show, Timmy (Harry) sat down with Dionne Warwick (portrayed by Ego Nwodim) for her “talk show” to discuss his single “Watermelon Sugar.” In the sketch, he admitted, “I think it’s just about summer, but some people think it’s about something else.” Yes, this is accurate.
Perhaps the best part of the Dionne Warwick sketch was when Timothée reappeared, except this time he was the one being impersonated by Chloe Fineman. I have to say that she nailed his enthusiasm and mannerisms—it was almost as satisfying as watching Timothée interviews on repeat (not that I do that or anything…). He also showed off his singing ability when he sang a song in a sketch called “Tiny Horse” with Beck Bennett.
Is there anything this man can’t do?
