So by now we’re all up to date on the Free Britney movement and her conservatorship. If you’re not, A) where have you been and B) you can check out everything you need to know in our handy guide here.
Currently it is believed that Britney’s finances, career, and well… life, is controlled by her conservators, her father, manager and an attorney. But it has now been reported that the court has finally approved of Britney’s request to hire her own litigation counsel against her dad, Jamie Spears.
In an Instagram post on a fan account, They gave a detailed explanation of what happened in the court hearing. It reads:
“Britney asked that a law firm named Loeb & Loeb represent her in her ongoing conservatorship battle against her father, Jamie Spears. Britney made it clear in court docs she did not want her father handling her money or estate moving forward.
Britney’s request to hire her own litigation counsel was APPROVED at today’s court hearing (against Mr. Spears’ wishes).”
As previously reported, Britney’s father has thwarted her plans to hire a legal council. The post continues:
“The Court finds that sufficient evidence has been provided to grant the matter on calendar this date based upon reading the moving papers and consideration of all presented evidence. The Court overrules the objections,” the court docs state.”
Congratulations to the popstar on the major move as she’s well on her way to finally becoming independent!
