ICYMI, Taylor Swift announced her new album at the 66th Grammy awards in Los Angeles last night, February 4th.
Her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, has been released today (April 19), and we’re not mad about it.
The Tortured Poets DepartmentΒ is a double alum and there are over 30 new songs. Including “ββthanK you aIMee,” which everyone isΒ convincedΒ is about Kim Kardashian, and “Clara Bow” about Oliva Rodrigo.
Fans have been speculating that Tortured Poets was going to be about Tay’s spit from and Joe’ Alwyn and there is at least one song – “So Long London,” that’s a farewell to their relationship.

We’re out of action this weekend as we will be repaying the album over and over!!!
In March, the singer had her Swifties on the edge of their seat as she dropped the bombshell when collecting the prize for best pop vocal album, for Midnights (her 13th Grammy win, naturally).
“I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret I’ve been keeping from you for the last two years,” she shared in her speech.
“Which is that my brand new album comes out April 19. It’s called The Tortured Poets Department.”

Her fans had been eagerly theorizing and anticipating the release of βReputation (Taylorβs Version),β the last remaining album in her βTaylorβs Versionβ re-recording project. But even her most loyal fans failed to crack Taylor’s infamous pattern of cryptic clues and easter eggs this time, as earlier in the day she changed her social media avatars to black and white, mirroring the albumβs color scheme.
Following her Grammy speech, Swift immediately went live with the album cover artwork on Instagram, along with a handwritten note signed, “The Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department”.

UAE Swifties can revel in some new music along with the rest of the world on April 19th. Get those friendship bracelets ready!!
