Dubai royal Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has announced her divorce on Instagram.
Her Highness Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai took to Instagram to share the news with her 330k followers.
The Emirati princess shared a short statement. It read: “Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you. I divorce, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.”
The announcement comes after only a year of their marriage, and only a month after the birth of their first child.
Fans have noticed that the pair have unfollowed one another on Instagram and Sheikha Mahra has removed all photos she had with her husband from her profile. Further speculations have been made in the comments, with followers suggesting they’ve blocked each other on the platform, and others speculating if she has been hacked and that the divorce announcement is false.
